Service Opportunities are requests posted by clients seeking professional services. This guide explains how to browse opportunities, respond to relevant requests, and post your own opportunities.

Understanding Service Opportunities

Service Opportunities connect consultants with clients who have specific needs. Clients post requests describing the professional services they require, and consultants can browse these opportunities to find potential business. When you find an opportunity that matches your expertise, you can contact the client to discuss how you can help.

Accessing Service Opportunities

Go to your Consultant Portal and click the Service Opportunities tab. This displays available opportunities posted by clients. An active subscription is required to access Service Opportunities.

Browsing Opportunities

The opportunity list displays available requests with their title, a brief description, the posted date, geographic scope, and relevant service categories. Click on any opportunity to view the full details.

Use the filters to narrow your search to opportunities that match your expertise.

Searching

Use the search bar to find opportunities by keyword. Enter terms related to your expertise to find relevant requests.

If the client has attached files, you can view or download them to understand the full scope of their needs.

Responding to Opportunities

When you find an opportunity that matches your expertise, contact the client to express your interest.

Personalize your response to the specific opportunity. Generic responses are less effective than tailored messages that demonstrate you understand the client's needs.

Writing an Effective Response

When contacting a client about an opportunity, introduce your firm briefly and explain your relevant expertise. Demonstrate that you understand their specific needs by referencing details from their posting. Ask any clarifying questions that will help you provide a better proposal. Suggest next steps such as a call or meeting to discuss further.

Following Up

After initial contact, respond promptly to any client replies. Provide additional information as requested. Discuss scope and pricing as the conversation progresses. Move toward a formal engagement when the client is ready.

Posting Your Own Opportunities

Consultants can also post service opportunities. This is useful when you want to find collaborators for projects, seek subcontractors for specific work, or share opportunities you cannot fulfill yourself.

Creating an Opportunity

Go to the Service Opportunities tab in your Consultant Portal

Click Create New or the + button

Complete the form with a clear title and detailed description

Add the contact email where respondents should reach you

Select relevant countries, service categories, and solutions

Attach any supporting documents such as specifications or requirements

Click Save as Draft to save, or submit when ready

Opportunity Status

Your posted opportunities follow the standard content status workflow.

Managing Your Opportunities

From the Service Opportunities tab, you can view your posted opportunities, edit drafts, unpublish active opportunities when they are no longer relevant, and delete opportunities you no longer need.
