The world today has entered a new period of turbulence and transformation. Although economic globalization has encountered headwinds, a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation has opened up new space for Chinese enterprises to go global. From exporting products to exporting production capacity, brands, supply chains and entire ecosystems, the internationalization of Chinese enterprises has shifted from an "optional choice" to a "question that must be answered." In light of this, Leadvisor Global and the ECUPL Institute of Internet Law jointly initiated the preparation of this report. Going global is not a one-off decision but a long voyage that requires constant recalibration of direction. Drawing on Leadvisor Global's practical experience and East China University of Political Science and Law's academic strengths, this report focuses its lens on the new trends and new variables in Chinese enterprises' going-global journey—where to go, in what manner to go, and under what rules to go. We hope that enterprises will be able to read and discern the prevailing conditions before setting out, act in accordance with those conditions in their choices of market, pathway, compliance arrangements and capital structuring, take fewer detours, and advance steadily and far.
